In the summer of 2001, Chad Sinkhorn set out to create a spot where creativity and community would come together and change the artistic landscape of his hometown, Danville, Kentucky. It didn't take long for word to get out of how impressive Chad's work was, and before he knew it, it was time for Studio Ink to expand. At this point he began his search for additional artists to join him at the shop. Over the next few years he would be joined by Todd Barlow, Shane Strout, Greg Reed and recently Amber Goens. According to Chad this crew is "the most talented group of artists in the state", which is solidified by the hundreds of awards, trophies and certificates that line the walls within the shop. Additionally, Studio Ink is frequently highlighted in some of the world's most prestigious tattoo magazines and the artists are booked at many of the nations "invitation only" tattoo conventions. Recently, television network FOX has been airing a special documentary series entitled "Studio Ink" which features the work and stories of the artists and many of the shop's patrons.
We would love to invite you to become part of the journey of Studio Ink Tattoo. Our goal is to help you create an individualized piece of art that expresses who you are and how you would like to present yourself as a living work of art
